Where Do I Find the Nursing Books?

The Eva B. Dykes Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System, so books are grouped by topic. Books about general topics in nursing can be found between RT 1 and RT 120 in the library. Special topics in nursing can be found between RT 89 and RT 120.

If you'd like to see a more in-depth breakdown of the RT section, Illinois State University has a table here. This table also includes the Library of Congress call numbers for nursing specialties (such as pediatric nursing, RJ 245) and other topics of interest to nurses (such as nurse--physician joint practice, R 729.5N87).

Remember, if you can't find what you need, the librarians are always standing by to help.
